| Background / Content | A canao or a grand feast is held by the rich and powerful kadangyang or chieftain of the Ifugao, when the fields are cleaned and grains are stored away. The men must dance as mighty birds and the women to stamp and scratch the earth from which one come. All of the village must thank the gods of harvest for this bounty. |
