“To find a way where the ROFF can be of full service to the Philippines and the generations to come.” As National Artist for Dance, Ramon Arevalo Obusan or Kuya Mon is fondly remembered for founding the Ramon Obusan Folkloric Group and opening his house to the immediate community around him, to the community of folk dancers, artists, and members of the indigenous communities all over the country.
It has also been home to folk dance teachers and students as well as the collection of some of the nation’s folk artifacts, musical instruments, textiles, costumes and audio-video research and documentations.
With this, the heirs decided to continue Ramon’s vision with the launching of “Bahay ni Kuya,” the home of Philippine Folk Heritage and Resource Center for Philippine folk arts, traditions and performances, spearheaded by the Ramon Obusan Folkloric Group.
